Summer is in full swing, and at Collective Mind Technologies, that means it’s time for a little adventure!
One of the biggest reasons we started CMT was to create a business that supports both meaningful work and quality time with family. Our daughter Lucy is on summer break, so we’re taking advantage of the season by working from anywhere while adventuring together along the way. We kicked off our summer with an incredible trip to Hawaii to visit friends, followed by a trip to Washington to spend time with family. Whether we’re at the pool, exploring the mountains, or visiting loved ones, we’re making the most of these summer days.
Of course, there’s plenty of work happening behind the scenes too. This summer, we’re growing our team, mentoring four high school interns, and welcoming new clients across all our services. If you happen to catch us out and about, just know we’re still hard at work supporting our clients while enjoying some valuable family time, too. Here’s to a season of balance, fun, and flexibility!
The right IT partner should feel like an extension of your team, responsive, reliable, and ready to grow with you. But what happens when your provider no longer meets your needs? Here are the top 5 signs it may be time to make a change:
You’ve Been Deprioritized If you’re constantly waiting on responses, struggling to get projects scheduled, or feeling like a “small fish” to your IT provider, that’s a red flag. Every client deserves attention, not just the largest ones.
Your Projects Are Being Sent Offshore Outsourcing can sometimes make sense, but if your provider is sending your projects overseas without clear communication, it can lead to missed deadlines, quality concerns, and limited support when issues arise.
They Can’t Scale With You As your business grows, your IT needs evolve. If your provider can’t keep up with your expansion, whether it’s new locations, more employees, or complex systems, it may be time to find a partner who can.
Retirement or Leadership Changes Are Happening If your IT provider is retiring or undergoing leadership transitions, you could experience service gaps or shifting priorities. Planning ahead protects your business from unexpected disruptions.
Technology Has Moved Forward, But They Haven’t IT moves fast. If your provider is stuck in outdated systems, tools, or processes, it might be holding your business back. A proactive partner should keep you informed of new solutions that improve security, efficiency, and growth.
Need a Fresh Perspective? At Collective Mind Technologies, we specialize in helping businesses navigate IT transitions smoothly. Whether you’re ready to switch providers or just need a second opinion, we’re here to help.
Hosting an event takes a lot of time and energy, but the payoff shouldn’t end when the doors close. With the right video and photography content strategy, you can turn a single event into months of valuable marketing material.
Here’s how to make the most of your event with video and photography:
Capture Highlights for Social Media
Short highlight reels or recap videos and standout photos are perfect for social media. Share moments that showcase the energy of your event, feature attendees, and give your audience a sense of the experience they missed (or want to relive!).
Create Promo Buzz for Next Year
Use your event footage and photos to build excitement for your next one. A well produced video and a library of vibrant images can help sell tickets, attract sponsors, and generate early buzz months in advance.
Gather Testimonials
Onsite is the best time to get authentic client or attendee testimonials on camera. Real voices talking about their positive experience is a powerful way to build trust for your brand.
Need help capturing your next event? At Collective Mind Technologies, we specialize in event videography and photography that goes beyond the recap, helping you turn moments into marketing.
